Let's talk about the need for office space, even shared would be better than none at all. It's not only hard to teach but sometimes improbable to put together good if not great demos (Art Dept) that are organised and well thought out when the instructor has to rely on "how much can I actually carry?" as the decision-maker when planning instruction. It would be nice to have a place to make work related phone calls within 15 minutes walking distance of the classroom, such as an OFFICE maybe? It is embarrassing to explain in front of the students "I left it in my trunk. I'll be back with the rest of my materials in 15 minutes, I'm going to my car now, this is my second trip to get my teaching materials...and no, the lockers are not big enough, nor do they have an actual chair in them so that I can feel like a human being when I sit my butt down in itafter a hard day at WORK.
...No, I don't have an office to store my supplies or leave my valuables..." Let's make locker stickers taht say PART TIME INSTRUCTOR so-and-so's OFFICE. With "Office Hours" posted.
