it is with deep regret that I learn about the death of the mother of one of our PT colleagues, Dee Marsh. Dee teaches history at COD and has done so for many years. I do not know of any other details-location and time of wake, funeral, etc.

For anyone reading this, it may or may not come as a surprise to find out that COD's 'human' resources will post via e-mail a notice for FT faculty, classified, administrative, and other non-PT college employees concerning the death of a family member. This is not something that costs a lot of money or time; granted, there are over 2000 current PT names on the college roster, but if someone notifies a colleague or dean, and that person passes the news on to HR, why can't they post it? It's like we are a child in the old days, born on the 'wrong side of the blanket'.
